London - Today it was announced by UK Prime Minister Xavier Lee that the control of the Gibraltar garrison will be turned over to the Spainsh in return for the unrestricted access to the Meditteranean for United Kingdom Vessels.
"We have every reason to believe that the Spanish will control the Gibraltar straight justly in the future towards all nations of the world." said Xavier Lee. "We expect a smooth transition over the next few months when the Spanish take complete control."
The process is expected to take 6-10 months before a complete control switchover can be accomplished.

El País London and Madrid have publicly announced a six to ten month process that will effectively transfer the Gibraltar to Spanish sovereignty, ending a three hundred year English ownership of the peninsula. About twenty percent of the population of the Gibraltar have already announced their expected retirement from the area and migration to England, deciding that paying Madrid taxes was simply 'not their cup of tea'. Nonetheless, the transfer has been a major victory for Spanish nationalist in the government and major defeat for President Zapatero who had instead pushed for the greater autonomy of the area, as opposed to full on Spanish law. The PSEO nonwithstanding, it has been considered a major Spanish victory, especially after the United Kingdom had outright refused when they had been asked by Ex-President Aznar. In return, Madrid, led by the PP and La Falange de la JONS, promised unlimited trade for the English in the Mediterranean, which also ended as a victory for the insurgent absolute capitalist which have been slowly entering Spanish politics. Otherwise, Spain has not promised the restriction of all tariffs to Spanish ports, although AbsoCap party members of the PP and La Falange have been attempting to push resolutions through Las Cortes which would effectively reverse the Socialist decision. Upon full transfer to Madrid a series of three week construction projects, spanning over twelve months, will complete a very high tech naval base which will house a new Spanish fleet. Several nationalist have announced this as the rise of the seventh armada. International reactions have not yet been noted.

You can't do that. If nobody can gain territory, you can't either. Be consistent please.

Well, again, no offense intended, you're right. However, it will get better; and it will do so faster if you help out and are part of the solution. It's all good and well it sit around and complain, but it will only get better if everyone helps to get more people involved.

I'm just using the trade/market option of this forum. Testing it out, helping to make this forum work, instead of complaining all day. You should just try to be more patient for now. You can have your war soon enough, but not yet.

In the end, this has no resemblence to the annexation of territory. The United Kingdom owned Gibraltar, and it was transferred to Spanish Law. There is no semblence of this to a territorial aquisition. It would be different, than say, me attacking Portugal.
